X-rays are the most accessible form of medical imaging. They work by sending a small dose of radiation through the body. Dense areas like bones absorb more radiation and appear white, while softer tissues appear darker — making X-rays ideal for examining bones, joints, lungs, heart, and certain abdominal or vascular conditions.
Our digital equipment ensures:
Sharper images for more accurate reporting
Lower radiation dose compared to conventional X-rays
Faster turnaround, with reports sent to your doctor within 1–2 hours

At IMAGES, digital X-rays start from 15 KWD. The cost varies depending on the body part being scanned and the number of images required.
Yes. X-rays can reveal abnormal growths, lesions, or tumors in the bones. They are often the first step in detecting bone cancers, but further imaging (CT, MRI, or biopsy) is usually required to confirm a diagnosis.
Yes. IMAGES Diagnostic Center provides IMAGES GO service, a mobile X-ray service at home for patients who cannot visit our center, such as elderly patients, bedridden patients, or those with limited mobility.
A chest X-ray is commonly used to detect:
Lung conditions like pneumonia, tuberculosis, and lung cancer
Heart conditions such as an enlarged heart or signs of heart failure
Rib fractures or chest trauma
Fluid or air around the lungs (pleural effusion, pneumothorax)
No. A chest X-ray cannot directly show blocked arteries in the heart. However, it may show an enlarged heart or fluid in the lungs, which can suggest heart problems. To detect heart blockages, advanced imaging such as CT angiography or cardiac catheterization is required.
Some scans require referrals, but many can be booked directly. Contact our Jabriya, Salmiya, or Hawally centers for guidance.
Yes. Modern digital X-rays are very safe because they use a very low dose of radiation—often much lower than older machines. For most patients, the health benefits of accurate diagnosis far outweigh the minimal risk.
Radiation exposure: Very small, comparable to what you naturally receive from the environment over a few days.
Side effects: There are no side effects after a standard X-ray. You can return to your normal activities immediately.
Pregnancy: If you are or might be pregnant, always inform the radiology team. In such cases, X-rays are usually avoided unless absolutely necessary.
We work with most Kuwaiti and international insurers. Verify coverage with our billing team before visiting our Jabriya, Salmiya, or Hawally locations.
All centers offer free, accessible parking with dedicated spaces for patients with mobility needs.
