At IMAGES Diagnostic Center in Kuwait, we provide advanced ultrasound and Doppler imaging for accurate, non-invasive diagnosis. Ultrasonography uses high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of the body’s organs, tissues, and blood vessels. It is safe, painless, and free from radiation.
Our services include standard ultrasound, vascular Doppler scans, and advanced 3D & 4D ultrasound for pregnancy and specialized diagnostics.
Ultrasound is one of the safest imaging methods — it does not use radiation.
No known risks for pregnant women or fetuses.
In rare cases, slight pressure from the probe may cause temporary discomfort.
FAQs
What is an Ultrasound Scan?
Ultrasound is a safe imaging test that uses sound waves to produce real-time images of internal organs, tissues, blood vessels, or a developing baby.
What is a Doppler?
Doppler ultrasound evaluates blood flow in arteries and veins, helping detect blockages, narrowing, or circulatory problems.
What's the difference between 2D, 3D, and 4D Ultrasound?
2D Ultrasound provides standard flat images.
3D Ultrasound shows more detailed, lifelike images of internal structures or a baby’s features.
4D Ultrasound adds real-time movement, allowing parents to see the baby’s face and movements during pregnancy.
What's the Ultrasound Price in Kuwait?
Prices vary depending on the type of scan (general, Doppler, 3D/4D). At IMAGES, ultrasound scans start from 35 KWD. Contact us for an exact quote and insurance coverage.
What's the difference between Ultrasound and Sonogram
An ultrasound is the test itself — it uses sound waves to create images of your body’s organs, tissues, or blood vessels. A sonogram is the actual picture or result produced by the ultrasound. In short, ultrasound is the process, and sonogram is the image.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
Some scans require referrals, but many can be booked directly. Contact our Jabriya, Salmiya, or Hawally centers for guidance.
Can an ectopic pregnancy be missed on an ultrasound?
In most cases, an ectopic pregnancy can be detected with ultrasound, especially when combined with blood tests (such as measuring hCG levels). However, in very early stages, it may be too small to see clearly, so follow-up scans or additional tests may be needed. That’s why it’s important to seek prompt medical care if you have symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, bleeding, or dizziness.
