  • MRI uses a magnetic field, so patients with certain implanted medical devices (such as pacemakers, some cochlear implants, or certain metal clips) may not be eligible for scanning.

  • Some patients may feel slight warmth in the scanned area — this is normal and temporary.

  • There are no known harmful effects from MRI for most people; however, it is not recommended for some pregnant patients unless clinically necessary.
