Before

  • Do not wear deodorant, powders, or perfumes on the day of your exam, as these can affect image quality.
  • Wear a two-piece outfit for convenience, since you will need to remove your top.

  • Inform us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have breast implants.



During

  • You will stand in front of the mammography unit.
  • Each breast is gently compressed between two plates for a few seconds to capture images.
  • The compression may feel uncomfortable but should not be painful.
  • The scan usually takes 15–20 minutes.



After

  • Resume normal activities immediately.
  • A board-certified radiologist reviews your mammogram.
  • Results are sent to your doctor within 3–5 hours, and you can access them via our patient app.
